Here is what you need to know about stage 7.

Tour de France Stage 7 Route

The cyclists will set off from Mont-de-Marson to Bordeaux on July 7 for stage 7 of the Tour de France 2023.

There is only one mountain included in this stage, which should favor the sprinters. The route is 105.5 miles of otherwise flat terrain.

Considering the cyclists ascended one of the most difficult summits of the tour so far during stage 6, this is a well-earned change of pace.

Tour de France Stage 7 Cote de Beguey

The Cote de Beguey appears 81.4 miles into the route.

It’s three-quarters-of-a-mile at  4.4% incline. This part of the race is relatively short as the cyclists will come out of the descent with 23.6 miles to go.

The stage will most likely end with a sprint finish. The tour has been led by extremely strong climbers, but the route for stage 7 is short and fast. This is the perfect opportunity for sprinters to take their shot at a podium finish. Stage 3 and stage 4 also favored sprinters, and both were won by Jasper Philipsen.
