Koksijde is one of the most iconic courses on the cyclocross calendar. Its massive ascents and descents on the sand dunes of the North Sea produce a truly unique event. Koksijde's coastal position near the French border exposes it to harsh conditions which help sculpt the massive dunes the racers traverse. In 2016, the Koksijde cyclocross was cancelled due to high winds. This year however riders were treated to fair weather and fast racing.
