Stage 5 is the first day outside of Brittany and will be the first opportunity for GC riders to distinguish themselves outside of the chaotic opening stages.

Nobody knows if Mathieu Van Der Poel will be able to hold onto the yellow jersey. His cyclocross rival Wout Van Aert may in fact be the favorite for the stage.

Meanwhile Primoz Roglic and Geraint Thomas have serious ground to make up, if they hope to have a serious shot at the yellow jersey this year.
