Mark Cavendish goes undefeated in Châteauroux as he claims his third stage victory in the Tour's popular sprint finish town. The Manx Missile notched up an unbelievable 32nd stage victory today ahead. Suddenly, Cavendish has serious momentum building towards equaling or even toppling Eddy Merckx's 34 stage record.

Stage 7 is the longest stage of the race and presents an opportunity for the breakaway. The hilly finish however suits a rider such as Mathieu van der Poel, should his team manage to keep the break in check.
