Anna Van Der Breggen Is On An Olympic Warpath, 2021 Vuelta a Burgos Féminas Recap

The women's Vuelta a Burgos saw heartbreak for North Americans, while Anna Van Der Breggen smashed all.

The four-stage Vuelta a Burgos Féminas was the first Women's WorldTour stage race of the 2021 season. North American riders Heidi Franz and Karol-Ann Canuel put out heroic breakaway performances in the early stages, only to be swept up by the field in the finale.

German rider Clara Koppenburg riding for American team Rally Cycling had a good showing on the final stage's summit finish, but was ultimately foiled by a charging world champion.

Anna van der Breggen won every overall classification at the Vuelta a Burgos. She appears to be unstoppable as she approaches La Course by Le Tour de France and the Tokyo Olympics.
